Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how LoneStar AI uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on this site, what they do, and how you can control them. This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember things between visits — like that you're signed in, or what season you last looked at. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature that stores slightly larger pieces of data in the same way.
Cookies we use
Strictly necessary
- Session token: keeps you signed in across page loads. Without this, you'd have to log in every refresh.
- CSRF / security tokens: protect form submissions from cross-site forgery.
These are required for the app to function. You can't turn them off and still use signed-in features.
Preference
- Last-selected season: remembers the season you picked in the timeline or simulator so you don't reset to default each visit.
- UI preferences: things like which panels you collapsed.
These improve the experience but the app works fine without them.
Analytics
LoneStar AI currently uses minimal server-side request logging only. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar third-party tracking. If that ever changes, we will update this page and prompt for consent where required.
Advertising
We do not use advertising cookies. The Service is ad-free.
Third-party cookies
When you sign in with a Gmail address, Google may set its own cookies on its own domain. We don't control those — see Google's cookie policy for details.
We don't take payments on this site yet — War Room Pro is on a waitlist. If and when a payment provider is connected later, that provider may set its own cookies on its own domain, and we don't control those.
How to control cookies
You can:
- Clear cookies and local storage in your browser's settings at any time
- Set your browser to block third-party cookies (won't break LoneStar AI)
- Use private/incognito mode for a no-persistence session
- Sign out — which clears your session token immediately
If you block strictly-necessary cookies entirely, signed-in features won't work. Public pages will still render.
Changes
We'll update this policy when our cookie use changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
