Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information LoneStar AI ("we", "us", or "the project") collects when you use this site or app, how we use it, and the choices you have. LoneStar AI is an independent student-and-community-built sports analytics project — not a commercial operation — and this policy reflects that.
1. Information we collect
We try to collect as little personal information as possible. The categories we may collect include:
- Account information: if you sign in, your Gmail address and a password hash (never the raw password). We use Gmail accounts for identity only.
- Access requests: when you submit an educator, Pro, or investor inquiry, we store the email address you provide and the plan you requested so we can follow up.
- Usage data: pages viewed, simulation runs requested, and timestamps. This is used to size the model load and improve the app, not to profile you.
- Voluntary feedback: anything you put in an email to us or in a feedback form.
We do not collect credit card data. We don't take payments on this site today — War Room Pro is on a waitlist. When payments launch, they'll be processed entirely by a third-party payment provider on the provider's own checkout. We will never see card numbers.
2. How we use it
- To run the simulation engine and serve your requests
- To remember you when you sign in
- To respond to access requests and support emails
- To improve features and fix bugs
- To meet legal obligations if they arise
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your data.
3. Sharing
We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting on Railway, and a future payment processor when subscriptions launch). These providers only see what they need to do their job.
- Legal authorities, if required by valid legal process. We will push back on overbroad requests.
4. Cookies & local storage
We use a small number of cookies and local-storage items to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (e.g., last-selected season). See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
5. Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic, hash passwords with a modern algorithm, and store data on managed infrastructure. No system is perfect — if we detect a breach affecting you, we will notify you.
6. Data retention
We keep account and access-request data while your account is active and for a short period after, in case you want to come back. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see "Your rights" below).
7. Your rights
- Request a copy of the data we have about you
- Ask us to correct or update it
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of any non-essential emails
To exercise any of these, email divyanshusomasekhar1@gmail.com.
8. Children's privacy
LoneStar AI is not directed at children under 13. The Classroom Lab program is for educators to use with students; in those cases, teachers — not students — create the accounts and manage access.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page with a new "Last updated" date.
